COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update

Important Information on Coronavirus

As you may be aware the situation around the coronavirus (also called COVID-19) pandemic is changing rapidly. To date, we’re continuing to look after families and arrange funerals as we would do normally, but we would like to share some guidance. As Government advice on coronavirus changes, we’ll update this page with the latest guidance.

It’s important that we take every possible step to ensure that funerals go ahead with our top priority being the health and wellbeing of our clients, colleagues and communities, as well as respecting the dignity of the deceased.

We’ve put a number of measures in place while we learn more about how coronavirus may affect the service we offer to the families in our care. However, we do need your help, co-operation and understanding.

To protect both you and our colleagues, we ask that you follow official government advice. If you’ve:

  • returned from any foreign country in the past 14 days,
  • been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected coronavirus,
  • been showing the following symptoms in the past 14 days: a persistent cough, high temperature, a shortness of breath

We ask that you call us before coming into the funeral home and we’ll advise on how we can best support you.

If someone has died with coronavirus

We’ll continue to look after loved ones in our care in a respectful and sensitive way. We’re well prepared to take care of people who have died with coronavirus in line with the official guidance we have received. We have the equipment, systems and processes to ensure the dignity of the deceased is respected at all times.

If you’re affected by coronavirus and need to contact us about arranging a funeral

We’ll still be able to help, but we ask that you call us first. We’ll just need to ask you a few questions to ensure we are suitably prepared and can give you the correct advice and guidance on next steps.

We’re here to help support and guide you through. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us by calling 01302 710285.

We cannot thank John Pinder enough for all his invaluable help during the very sad time of losing our sister Lesley, he is professional at all times and nothing is a bother, it is lovely how a man in his profession has such an approachable warm manner. Lesley was very specific in her funeral plans and John was paramount in making them happen, for this we will be forever thankful.
