Pinders was recommended by a very good friend of my Mum’s and as it turns out, my Mum worked with Pinders in the care of my Grandad and Grandma after their deaths too. She happened to be on call that night when my Mum died. Knowing who was collecting my Mum’s body, though coincidental, was a real relief for me and my brothers. The practice of assigning a Director to work with a family throughout the process was so supportive for us. However, I also had the experience of other staff members being equally helpful and professional in support of Jacqui for us. It is obviously a characteristic of your staff team, thank you. I do know how busy you were during the time we were involved with you, but we were always treated as if Mum was the only person you were dealing with. The Service you helped us put together could not have been improved upon. Our guests talked very positively about the journey to the Crematorium, the Crematorium itself, the service and get together at the Cricket Club as a real celebration of Mum’s life. In the sadness of our loss, you were able to help us mark and honour my Mum’s death in a way that we will all take comfort from. Jacqui was outstanding in keeping the lines of communication open to all three of us, from a call the morning following Mum’s death telling us her body was safe with you, to the feedback about the collection for Mum’s charity and sending the final invoice. I realise too what a master of so many trades she is, chairing tricky meetings and managing people whose emotions can be running high, to amazing organisational skills and being a whiz with Microsoft Publisher, not to say the hidden trade of preparing and dressing a body.
